TeyvatGPS just passed 1,000 registered users 馃コ:heartlain:
Thank you! This started as a side project I wasn't sure anyone would use and your feedback has helped shape what it is today. I can also see many more using it without an account! Keep the ideas coming :ssh:
TeyvatGPS has grown way beyond what I expected, and it's outgrowing its free hosting tiers. If it keeps growing like this, it'll start costing real money pretty soon. I want to keep it free and ad-free, so if it's saved you some time, you can buy me a coffee!
Using TeyvatGPS and sharing it with friends already helps a lot! :heartlain:

TeyvatGPS New Updates!
This week鈥檚 updates are all about fixing tracking issues yourself when a teleport goes wrong. Here's what's new!
  • Teleport Shortcuts 馃コ
Three new hotkeys let you fix tracking issues without leaving the game:
Rescan Teleports: If a cave loads slowly ingame after teleporting and the map zooms in before it's fully loaded, gps might detect the wrong location. You can now rescan to correct your position.
Undo Teleport: Return to your previous location if gps mistakenly detects a teleport such as when you close your inventory.
Next Match: If the scan picks the wrong waypoint cycle through the next best matches until you find the right one.
Shortcuts are now grouped into Markers and Tracking under Options > Shortcuts. Update the extension to the latest version to use the new hotkeys.
  • Region Filter
You can now select a region like Mondstadt, Liyue or Inazuma from the filter panel. The map jumps to that region and only its markers and counts are shown. Follow stays active while switching regions.
  • Collection Progress
If you're signed in, your account card in the top-right corner now shows your collection progress. Open it to see your progress broken down by map, category and marker type.
New Website Pages
We've added Features, Guide, FAQ, News, About and Contact pages to teyvatgps.com. The homepage also displays our latest Discord announcements so you can catch up
That's it for this week!
As always, let us know if you run into any bugs or notice anything that feels off! 馃挋

TeyvatGPS New Updates!
This round is mostly about a fresh new look for the map. Here's what's new:
  • New HUD 馃コ
The buttons on the hud got a redesigned with a help of a designer @sed . The UI is now cleaner and easier to use. Preferences is now called Options and "I'm here" is now Find me. Your Google profile picture now shows in the top right and you'll find Sign out under it. More UI improvements will roll out gradually in future updates.
  • Export to HoYoLAB
You can now export your collection, not just import it! You can send everything you've collected on TeyvatGPS to the HoYoLAB interactive map open Transfer, copy the code and paste it into the HoYoLAB map and your markers get marked there for you.
  • Player Arrow
You can now show yourself as an ingame arrow that turns the way you're walking instead of a dot. Pick it in Options next to the player marker colors.
  • Shortcuts Extension
The extension now works on Opera too. You no longer need to restart your browser after changing your keys.
  • Smoother Tracking
Hotfixed the false cave-floor jumps in towns from last update's launch. Tracking no longer gets stuck after teleporting with Find me on and it runs lighter on Firefox.
  • Small Fixes
The marker info panel stays open while you jump between markers. Importing from other sites now picks up the latest marker IDs.
  • What's Next :whatmf:
Until the next Genshin update we'll be focusing on tracking improvements and language support.
That's it for this week!
As always if you run into any bugs or anything feels off let us know!! 馃挋

I found out that whenever you change a shortcut, you need to fully restart your browser for it to work.
If this doesn鈥檛 fix the issue, feel free to tag me again.
The description in the Shortcuts section saying you need to refresh is incorrect. I鈥檒l update it right away. 馃コ

Hi everyone
I noticed an issue with the extension over the last few days. It鈥檚 not working the same way it did when it was first released. I think some firefox fixes caused this and I鈥檒l fix it as soon as possible.
I鈥檓 sorry about this.
mertelia
Attention!!!
I noticed a bug in the import system that was preventing some data, like World Quests from being imported from other maps into TeyvatGPS. It鈥檚 fixed now. You鈥檒l need to import your data again for those to be added too.

TeyvatGPS New Updates!
This round is mostly about shortcuts and keeping you in the game. Here's what's new:
  • Shortcuts Extension 馃コ馃コ馃コ
Now you can mark the nearest marker as collected with a single key. Auto-collect marks chests even if you only walked past them, so we made a small Chrome/Edge extension that adds hotkeys you can use without leaving the game. There are also keys to undo a mark, toggle auto-collect and follow, and hide collected markers.
You can install it and set your keys in
Preferences > Shortcuts Don't forget to choose global!
  • Cross Check
A new tracking system that matches the map in two different ways and keeps the answer they agree on, so tracking jumps around less. It's on by default and uses more CPU, so you can turn it off in Preferences if you need to. If your browser runs low on memory it turns itself off and lets you know.
  • Smoother Tracking
The tracker now ignores your character's arrow in the middle of the minimap so it doesn't throw off the match. Dialogue screens are also no longer mistaken for the minimap. After a teleport you'll see a light sweep across the top bar while TeyvatGPS looks for your new spot.
  • Preferences
Preferences is now split into Settings, Shortcuts and History tabs so it's easier to find things.
  • Pop-out Map
The area badge is now just an icon and the floor buttons moved to the right side so they don't take space from the filters.
  • Account Sync
If you're signed in and the server has an issue, syncing your collected markers now tries again instead of leaving the map empty until you reload.
And some missing markers have been added.
That's it for this week!

TeyvatGPS New Updates!
This round is mostly about controller support and a few more ways to make the map your own. Here's what's new:
  • Controller Support 馃コ 馃コ
If you play with a controller on pc, the minimap sits in a slightly different spot and is a bit smaller than with keyboard so automatic setup used to miss it. TeyvatGPS now asks whether you're playing with Keyboard or Controller the first time you press share screen and places the minimap to match.
Your choice is saved so you'll only be asked once. If you switch later you can change it anytime in
Preferences > Playing with > Keyboard - Controller
We also made the "is the minimap on screen" check a bit more forgiving. Against bright or white backgrounds (snow for example) the minimap UI could blend in and the tracker would think the minimap wasn't there.
  • Player Marker Color
You can now pick a color for your player marker in Preferences. This should help if you're colorblind or if the default blue is hard to spot on certain parts of the map. Choose one of the presets or use the rainbow button for any custom color.
  • Collected History Filters
The Collected History in Preferences now has filters: All, Auto, Manual and Import. That way you can see what Auto-collect picked up what you marked yourself and what came from an import or your account sync.
  • Markers
If marker data fails to load, you'll now see a message with a Try again button instead of filters that are quietly empty.
  • Comments
Fixed a bug that was preventing some comments from being posted. We also made a few behind the scenes improvements to comments and image uploads to make them more reliable and secure.
That's it for this week!

New Update
  • How to collect info for chests and oculi:
Chest, oculus and puzzle popups now have an Info button that explains how to collect that one.
On top of that, while you're tracking, if the nearest marker has info, it shows up as text at the bottom of the screen, so you can read it without clicking anything. You can turn this off in Preferences if you don't want it.

TeyvatGPS New Updates!
We鈥檝e added a few new things to TeyvatGPS to make the overall experience a little smoother and easier to use. Here鈥檚 what鈥檚 new:
  • How to Use
A new How to Use button has been added. If you鈥檙e visiting TeyvatGPS for the first time, the guide will automatically pop up when you enter the site.
If you want to check it again later, you can find the button in the bottom-left corner.
The guide also includes a Features section explaining some of the HUD features and how they work.
  • Region Search
You can now limit location searches to Teyvat by using the All Regions button.
This hasn鈥檛 been fully tested yet in terms of improving location detection, so there鈥檚 still room for improvement. For now it should help prevent the tracker from looking at completely unrelated regions and make it less likely to drop your location somewhere it shouldn鈥檛.
  • Preferences
Added a Player Marker Size setting, so you can adjust the size of your marker to your liking.
Markers you open now stay open when you refresh the page or switch to another map. No more having to open them all over again.
  • Comment Images
You can now click on images in comments to enlarge them, making screenshots and other shared images much easier to check.
  • Pop-out Map
Fixed a bug where the Auto-Collect Radius wasn鈥檛 showing up properly on the pop-out map.
  • Markers
Markers no longer resets selected items when you change the map or refresh the website.
That鈥檚 it for this week!
As always if you run into any bugs or anything feels off, let us know in . 馃挋

Roadmap
For the first release
  • Various improvements to location detection and positioning.
  • An option to limit the location and the region you're exploring. For example: if you select Snezhnaya, the system won't consider any locations outside Snezhnaya. This should make location detection more consistent.
  • Like system on comments.
  • Ability to view images in comments in fullscreen.
  • If possible, a small description for the nearest marker explaining how to collect it.
  • Clear How to Use instructions for first time users on site.
  • Automated adjustments for controller users too.
Planned but not essential for the first release
  • Fish respawn times.
  • Character-building guides for flowers and small bosses, including their availability and farming information.
  • Various small in-site features, such as Pull or Skip.
  • Items that respawn after a certain amount of time (e.g. 24 hours) will automatically be marked as not collected again once their respawn timer is up.
  • I'm still undecided on whether to add this but I have an idea where users could share their current location and see other people's live locations on the site's live map. This could let you explore the world together with other people in real time.
  • An extension that lets you assign keybinds to mark the nearest marker as collected or discard a marker that was automatically marked as collected.
I still need lots of feedback :look:
