Teyvat GPS/Map

Features

What Teyvat GPS can do, when each feature helps, and what happens behind it. For step by step setup, see the Guide.

Live tracking

When you'd use it

You're running across Liyue and want to know which chests are still around you, without opening the in-game map or hunting for your own spot on a website.

How it works

Share your game window and Teyvat GPS reads your minimap from the video about every second and a half. It compares that small picture against its own copy of the world map, only around where it last found you, and moves your marker to the best match. When you teleport, it checks the waypoints, statues and domain entrances first, since that's where a teleport always puts you. While a menu, your inventory or the full map covers the minimap, tracking pauses and picks up where it left off once you close it.

Good to know

Cities and caves zoom the in-game minimap in, and the tracker adjusts on its own. If your marker ever looks wrong, Find me puts it back in one click.

Shortcuts extension

When you'd use it

You're mid-fight or gliding between chests and want to switch auto-collect off for a moment, or stop the map from following you, without leaving the game.

How it works

The free Teyvat GPS Shortcuts extension adds keyboard shortcuts for auto-collect and follow. It passes your key presses to the open map tab, so the map reacts while the game stays in front of you. Add it from Options › Shortcuts on the map, then pick your keys in the browser's shortcut settings.

Good to know

Set each shortcut to Global, otherwise it only works while the browser window is focused. The extension only listens for its own shortcuts, runs only on teyvatgps.com and collects no data.

Auto-collect

When you'd use it

You're sweeping a region for chests and oculi. Instead of opening a map and ticking each one off by hand, you just walk past them.

How it works

Every marker that falls inside the circle around your position is marked as collected. Before it's saved you get six seconds to discard it, in case you only walked by. Only the marker types you have switched on in the filters count, and inside a cave only that floor's markers do, so a chest on the surface doesn't get ticked while you walk underneath it.

Good to know

You can resize the circle in Options, or turn auto-collect off and mark things by hand.

Caves and floors

When you'd use it

You walk into a cave with several levels. The map switches to that cave's floor plan by itself, and switches again when you take the stairs down.

How it works

Teyvat GPS keeps the floor plans of 290 cave floors. Whenever you're near one, it compares your minimap against both the surface and the floors at that same spot, and opens whichever matches. Collected markers and auto-collect follow the floor you're on.

Good to know

Floors that sit almost exactly on top of each other can occasionally be mixed up. If you end up on the wrong one, go back to the surface in the floor panel, then use Find me.

Progress and transfer

When you'd use it

You've been ticking off chests on another map for months, or you play on two computers. Your progress comes with you.

How it works

Collected markers are saved in your browser. Sign in with Google and they sync to your account, so they're there on any device. The Transfer button imports what you've already collected on AppSample or the HoYoLAB interactive map in one go, and can send your list back to HoYoLAB with a single code. Your account card shows how much of each map you've collected.

Good to know

Without signing in, your list lives only in this browser, so clearing your browser data clears it too.

Playing fullscreen

When you'd use it

You play fullscreen and don't want to alt-tab every time you check the map.

How it works

The pop-out map opens a small window that stays on top of the game and keeps following you. Pair it with the Shortcuts extension to toggle auto-collect and follow by hotkey, and you rarely need to leave the game at all.

Good to know

The pop-out map needs Chrome or Edge.

Find me

When you'd use it

Your marker is in the wrong place, or the tracker can't find you because you're far from any waypoint.

How it works

Press Find me and click where you actually are. The tracker searches around that spot, and once it locks on, it follows you from there.

Good to know

In a cave, open that floor first so it searches on the right one.

Pressing Find me and clicking the player's real position to restart tracking from there.
