About Teyvat GPS

Teyvat GPS is a free, browser-based live map for open-world games. Share your game window and it reads your minimap, finds where you are, and shows your position on the full interactive map in real time. There is nothing to download or install, and it never touches the game itself.

It started with Genshin Impact, hence the name and more games are on the way.

Why it exists

Open-world gacha games have huge maps full of chests, collectibles and puzzles, and keeping track of them usually means alt-tabbing to a map site and finding yourself by hand. The live trackers that solve this ask you to install a desktop program that runs next to the game. Teyvat GPS does the same job from a browser tab. It only looks at the pixels of your shared screen, the same way you would, so there is no game memory access, no injected code and nothing for anti-cheat to worry about.

Genshin Impact today

  • Seven maps: Teyvat, Enkanomiya, The Chasm, Sea of Bygone Eras, Ancient Sacred Mountain, Temple of Space and Frost Moon
  • Chests, oculi, puzzles, waypoints, local specialties, ores, fishing spots, enemies, world quests and more
  • Underground caves with their own floor maps, detected automatically when you walk in
  • Auto-collect, which marks chests and other collectibles as found when you walk past them, with an undo for every pickup
  • Optional sign-in with Google so your progress follows you across devices
  • A floating mini map that stays on top of the game (Chrome and Edge)

You can also use the map on its own without sharing your screen, the way you'd use any interactive map.

Beyond Genshin

The plan is to bring the same system to other gacha games, starting with the ones players ask for most and where live tracking is genuinely useful: big open worlds full of chests, collectibles and things that are easy to miss. Every game draws its minimap differently, so each one gets its own tracking work, tuned and tested against that game's interface, along with its own map and marker data. That takes time, but it's how each game gets tracking that actually holds up. If there's a game you'd like to see next, tell us on Discord.

Who's behind it

Teyvat GPS is built and maintained by mertelia, an independent developer and gacha game player. It started as a personal project in July 2026 and opened to the public on September 23, 2026. It was first shared on r/Genshin_Impact and has grown since then through the community on Discord and Reddit.

Map data is updated when games release new regions, and new features ship regularly. You can follow the changes on the News page and on Discord, or reach me directly at contact@teyvatgps.com.

Teyvat GPS is free, but it has outgrown the free tiers it runs on. I try to keep it as ad-free as I can, so if it saves you some time, you can buy me a coffee.

Shaped by players

Since launch, most of what has changed came from player feedback. These are just a few of the things built from community suggestions on Discord and Reddit:

  • the Shortcuts extension, so auto-collect and follow can be toggled with hotkeys without leaving the game
  • collected progress on your account, so you can see how much of each map you have already cleared
  • region filters, to show markers only for the area you are exploring
  • a setup option for players who play with a controller

Many smaller fixes came from bug reports sent in by players too. New ideas still arrive the same way, and the most requested ones are usually the next to ship. If you have one, the Contact page lists a few ways to reach us.
